Chipper Jones is at #33 for all time home run hitters with 457 homers. He has 3 this year. If he can hit 19 more, he’ll go ahead of Stan Musial at #28 with 475. He hit 18 home runs last year, so 22 this year seems possible, Of the 32 hitters ahead of him, only six players hit more than 20 home runs past age 40: Dave Winfield, (59), Ted Williams (39), Jim Thome (30), Willie Mays (32), Hank Aaron (42), and Barry Bonds (59). Carl Yastremski (48), number 34 on the list was the only other baseball player to hit 20 home runs after age 40. Good luck, Mr. Jones.
